Armagnac still

From The Oxford Companion to Spirits & Cocktails

, also known as an alambic armagnacais, is a small hybrid still, a pot with a continuous feed topped off with a short rectifying column, unique to the Armagnac region of France. It is sometimes set on a wheeled conveyance, allowing it to travel from one vineyard to another. The alambic armagnacais is inefficient for a continuous still, producing eau-de-vie only at alcohol levels between 52–60 percent ABV. See also Armagnac, still, continuous.
