mulberry

From The Oxford Companion to Spirits & Cocktails

(Morus species) is any of various flowering plants that grow in temperate zones around the world. Mulberries may be red, white, or pink, depending upon the species, and have been used for millennia as flavoring for wines and for liqueurs such as the French crème de mûre (an essential component of Dick Bradsell’s Bramble Cocktail). See Bradsell, Dick;, liqueurs.
